Maureen FitzSimons' early achievements in the performing arts (now called Maureen O'Hara), would put her in America's eyes, into the category of child prodigy. It was an innate trait for a girl from Irish heritage, that was surrounded during her early days by talented relatives and parents. Maureen was born in Ranelagh an area in Dublin the capital of Ireland, on 17 August 1920. Marguerita LIlburn FitzSimons, the mother of her. She was a skilled contralto. The father of her, Charles FitzSimons, managed the business of Dublin and also owned part of the well-known Irish soccer club "The Shamrock Rovers." Maureen FitzSimons' was the second FitzSimons child. Peggy FitzSimons Florrie Charles B. Fitzsimons Margot Fitzsimons James O'Hara made up this family. Maureen was a fan of rough and sports as a kid and excelled at sports. Her naturally-born interest with her ability in performing was astonishing. As a result, she received almost all of the Feis Awards for dramatic and acting in her country of birth. When she was in her 14th year she joined the Abbey Theater to follow her dream and study operatic and classical vocals.
